Dear Mrs Elvin,
Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher. Your kindness, warmth, and compassion were a true source of light during a challenging time for me. I will always remember how you welcomed a shy and introverted schoolboy and never stopped believing in him. Even now, my family and I remember you very fondly. You were one of the greatest teachers I had growing up, and I will always remember the values that you taught me by example.
